Cate’s journey as a UGC VA started with a decision to step away from the traditional 8-5 when she got her son. She wanted to do something that would give her more freedom and flexibility.

Before starting her VA journey, she spent three years working in admin and procurement, and later as a sales administrator. She had always been familiar with the remote work space, having explored online work while in university, so leaving her corporate job felt like the right time to find her way back to it.

She started by working with clients across different industries and learning along the way. But somewhere in that journey, she noticed she was naturally drawn to working with content creators. She loved being part of the behind-the-scenes work that helped them show up, stay organized, and grow their businesses.

That realization led her to niche down and build a VA business focused on supporting UGC creators. Today, Cate works alongside a small team of VAs who help creators with the work behind the scenes, giving them more time and space to focus on their creativity, content, and business.

What started as a search for flexibility has grown into a business she loves, and one that allows her to support other people building something of their own.
